Syncing, indexing and search all run inside your Documetrik workspace. Only the question and the few passages needed to answer it go to the model you choose.
Sources. Connect Google Drive, Slack, Confluence and about 50 more. Documetrik reads only the sources an admin connects, with the access you grant.
Sync. Connectors check for new and changed documents on a schedule, so the index keeps up without anyone re-uploading files.
Index. Each document is split into passages. Every passage is stored twice: as an embedding for meaning-based search and in a keyword index for exact terms.
Retrieve. A question searches both ways at once. The strongest passages are ranked and kept; the rest are left out.
Your model. Only your question and those passages go to the language model you chose. It writes the answer from them. We don't train any model on your data.
Answer. The answer comes back with numbered citations that link to the exact passage in the original document.
About 50 connectors, kept in sync as documents change. Uploaded files work too: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Markdown and plain text.
