Where it runs
Documetrik runs on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1). Your documents, their search index and your chat history are stored there.
How we look after your documents

Encrypted in transit
Every connection to Documetrik uses HTTPS. Plain HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS.
Secrets encrypted at rest
Connector tokens and API keys are encrypted before they are written to the database. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never as plain text.
What the model sees
To answer a question, Documetrik sends your question and the most relevant passages to the model provider your workspace uses. That provider's API terms apply to the request, so check them for your chosen provider.
No training on your data
We don't use your documents, questions or answers to train any model.
Who has access
Workspace admins invite users and decide which sources are connected. Disconnecting a source removes its documents from the search index.
Deleting your workspace
Ask us to close your workspace and we'll delete your documents, index, chat history and account data.
Open-source foundation
Documetrik is built on Onyx, an open-source project whose code is public on GitHub.
Certifications
We don't hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification yet. If your team needs a security questionnaire completed, we're glad to do it.
