Terms of service

These terms apply when you or your organization use Documetrik (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, if you sign up for an organization, on behalf of that organization. Questions go to contact@documetrik.com.

Your account

Keep your login details safe and make sure the information in your account is accurate. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your workspace.

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents, files and messages you connect or upload ("your content"). You give us permission to store, index and process your content only to provide the service to you, including sending relevant passages to the language model provider your workspace uses. You confirm you have the right to connect and share your content with the service.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Don't try to access other customers' data or disrupt the service.
• Don't resell the service without our written agreement.
• Follow the usage policies of the language model provider your workspace uses.

AI-generated answers

Answers are generated by AI from your content and can be incomplete or wrong. Check the cited sources before relying on an answer for important decisions.

Fees

Paid plans are billed per seat at the price agreed when you subscribe. Fees are due in advance for each billing period and are not refundable unless required by law or agreed in writing.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and secure but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features over time and will give notice of changes that significantly reduce what the service does.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. After closure we delete your content as described in our privacy policy.

Open-source software

Documetrik is built on the open-source Onyx project, licensed under the MIT license. Those licenses continue to apply to the open-source components.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell workspace admins by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
