Privacy policy — Documetrik

This policy explains what personal data Documetrik ("we", "us") collects when you use documetrik.com and the Documetrik app at app.documetrik.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email contact@documetrik.com.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a salted hash).
Workspace content: documents and messages from the tools your workspace connects, files you upload, and the questions and answers in your chats.
Connector credentials: the access tokens and API keys needed to read your connected tools, stored encrypted.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and server logs of requests, used to run and secure the service.
Messages you send us, for example when you email us for a demo or support.

This marketing site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

To provide the service: index your connected content, answer your questions, and show the sources behind each answer.
To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems.
To reply to you and to send notices about your account or the service.
To bill for your subscription.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your workspace content to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Your language model provider. To answer a question, your question and the relevant passages from your documents are sent to the model provider your workspace uses (for example OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). Their terms apply to that processing.
Hosting. The service runs on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1).
Other service providers we use to run the business, such as email and payment providers, only as needed for them to do their job.
When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

How long we keep it

We keep workspace content while your workspace is active. When a source is disconnected, its documents are removed from the search index. When you close your workspace, we delete your content and account data, except for records we must keep by law, such as invoices.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data by emailing contact@documetrik.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local data protection law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Security

We use HTTPS for all connections, encrypt stored credentials, and hash passwords. Read more on our security page.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell workspace admins by email before they take effect.
